Proximity Effects

Proximity Effects

Understanding how buildings interact and affect each other is crucial in creating the most efficient and productive town.

I. Height

Buildings with height cast shade (on crops) and block wind (for windmills and wind turbines).

II. Pollution

Some buildings (mostly the Industrial ones) are considered “dirty” and emit pollution. Pollution affects the farm and ranch building production negatively.

III. Natural Proximity Effects

These natural proximity effects contribute greatly to why location selection is important!

  • Oil Seep – provides passive crude oil (3/2/1) to industrial buildings surrounding it.
  • Mountain – casts 5 tiles of shade
  • Oceans – are salty. They greatly increase the production of brine and hinder the growth of crops.
  • Rivers – provide passive water (5/4/3/2/1)

IV. Fountains

Fountains are NFT’s earned from referring other players to the game. They provide passive water in varying strengths. Help me get my majestic fountain by signing up as my referral 😅
